“All I should be worrying about is hurrying to make the metro not sidestepping advances from drunk strangers and leering men”

One morning at 8:00am, I was walking to the Plaza de España on my way to work. Barely 2 minutes into my walk, two men yelled out at me ”hola guapa” and ”ayyy rubia”. I sidestepped them and kept walking. Then literally 2 more minutes into my journey, I saw a drunk man on the sidewalk lunge at a woman and try to kiss her, she managed to sidestep his advances. Seeing this, I tried to pass him with as much distance as possible, and even ended up walking onto the street to get away from him. This didn’t deter him and he still lunged at me trying to kiss me too. This was all within 5 minutes on a mid-week morning at 8:00am, when all I should be worrying about is hurrying to make the metro not sidestepping advances from drunk strangers and leering men.
